What if you could merge a 7 day vacation to the Caribbean this winter with a conference? We have the evolution of SQLCruise that will now include a Web Developer track in addition to the original Data track the floating conference has provided for almost 10 years. I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead the Web Dev track this time and doing full 12 sessions of ASP.NET Core 2.0. Joining me will be Joe Guadagno for each of the sessions. We will be providing two and a half days of content and hands on labs to get all of our fellow shipmates up to speed on the newest cross-platform web framework from Microsoft. As you can see from the following list, we are covering a multitude of topics:

  • C# 7
  • Entity Framework Core 2.0
  • ASP.NET Core MVC
  • ASP.NET Core Web API
  • Client-side Development with ASP.NET Core
  • Security and Identity
  • Testing
  • Debugging and Performance
  • Hosting and Deployment
  • Migrating from.NET Framework
  • Docker and Containers
  • ASP.NET Core and the Cloud

Each session will last between 45 and 105 minutes in length. We will be in class from 8:00AM until 4:00PM when we are traveling out at sea. When we are not in class, you’ll be able to enjoy the newest and largest ship of the Norwegian Cruise Line, the Escape! The Escape has over 25 restaurants, 21 bars and lounges, the largest waterpark on the seas and much, much more! So ask your boss, find out if you can write off the entire trip from your accountant and tell that special someone to pack their bags! The chance of a lifetime awaits!
